When Prophet Mohammad was present in the world, was his caliphate ruling over the entire world? God would never want the supremacy of any one religion, when he has sent other religions also.
Ignorant people like Tarek Fateh assume concepts due to sectarianism are representation of ‘Islamic’ concepts and use them to ridicule Islam; this is short-sightedness. They lack knowledge. What is written in the Quran and Prophetic Traditions is the true representation of Islam. The thought of Muslims, what they say and do, does not have authority over the Quran. When it comes to Islam, the authority is the Quran and Prophetic Traditions. Even if the Ulema-e-Haq do something and people benefit from it, it will still not be considered an authority in Islam because that is confined to the Sufis only; it is not for everyone.
As far as Daesh is concerned, it is their own concocted belief that they will establish a worldwide caliphate.
If you are relating this fabrication of theirs to Islam, then you may as well consider sex jihad a part of Islam also. According to you, some parts of their concocted belief system are a part of Islam, while others are not. There are so many ignorant columnists who have no authority in Islam and speak rubbish. But such people must be exposed.
There are ignorant clerics who are uneducated and have only been to madrassas.
Then there are the ignorants who think of themselves as ultra-modern, highly educated intellectuals. However, their knowledge is limited because they do not have spiritual insight by which they can determine which narratives have been falsely attributed to Islam versus those that have been sent forth by God or Prophet Mohammad.
When God mentioned a caliphate (Khilafah), he first mentioned it for Adam Safi Allah. The Quran states that God referred to Dawood (David) as a Caliph also; it is included in his declaration of faith, La Illaha Ilallah Dawood Khalifatullah. Other than these two, there is no other mention of a Caliphate or Caliph for any other prophet or messenger in the Quran.
If you think the first four primary caliphs of Islam (Khulfa-e-Rashideen) were appointed by God or the Prophet Mohammad, you live in fool’s paradise. They were not appointed by either Prophet Mohammad or God. This was the biggest problem. In the last days, when Prophet Mohammad was suffering from severe fever, he understood this was a very delicate matter.
In order to solve this issue, he asked for a scribe to be called so he may write his advice regarding the caliphate, to avoid quarrels amongst the Companions. This indicates that Prophet Mohammad understood the Companions would never appoint a new caliph in the light of the Quran or sayings of the Prophet.
If the Companions were capable of making the right decision in accordance with Quran and Prophetic Traditions, Prophet Mohammad would never have expressed his desire to give them instructions on this matter to avoid mischief. Upon this desire, Umar bin Khattab said, ‘We have the word of God and the(religion has now been completed; that is enough for us. We do not need your advice.’ Is there any Muslim who has faith and still considers a person a Companion of the Prophet who rejects what the Prophet is saying and refuses to take his advice? Is there any Muslim who believes Hazrat Ali, Usman-e-Ghani, Abu Bakr or Umar bin Khattab understood the Quran better than the Prophet himself? No. Not only did Prophet Mohammad have a better understanding of the Quran, he was much closer to God than any of the Companions.
Secondly, the term ‘Khulfa-e-Rashideen’ is man-made. It was not introduced by God nor is it mentioned anywhere in the Quran. When they did become caliphs, their caliphate was limited to their region only. Many clerics today, including Tahir ul Qadri, respect Ameer Muaviya and give him the rank of a Sahabi (Companion of the Prophet). Ameer Muaviya appointed his son as a caliph; if his caliphate was legitimate, why did Imam Hussain not pledge his allegiance to him? Imam Hussain sacrificed his entire household and they were slaughtered – but he refused to accept the caliphate of Yazid bin Muaviya. In those times, the pledge of allegiance meant to accept someone as the caliph. Had Yazid bin Muaviya been appointed by God, Imam Hussain would never have opposed him. On the other hand, Ameer Muaviya did not accept the caliphate of Hazrat Ali and formed his own caliphate in Egypt. We know that at any given time, only one true caliph is appointed by God. Here, there were two – so which one was legitimate? As far as Hazrat Ali is concerned, he would have been legitimate had he been appointed by God or instructed by Prophet Mohammad, but that was not the case; neither of the two were caliphs appointed by God.
The system of an Islamic caliphate was destroyed well before it was even established, as Umar bin Khattab rejected instructions from the Prophet in this regard.
How can anyone say there is a concept of a caliphate in Islam when this system was never established? Had a caliphate been established, it would have been for the Muslims only.
This concept of a worldwide caliphate is a concocted and fabricated concept; there is no truth to it.
Shiites regard Hazrat Ali as the highest ranked caliph. But God did not appoint Hazrat Ali a caliph of Islam – how could he when Ali did not have the knowledge of Sharia (religious law)? Ali was on the path of Tariqa (spirituality). In my personal opinion, if Abu Bakr had been given more time, he would have made a great caliph in terms of Sharia.
Physically, no caliph was appointed by God or the Prophet. Hazrat Ali was a caliph but in Batin (the esoteric realm) and Prophet Mohammad made him Syed al Auliya.
Prophet Mohammad said, ‘I am the city of knowledge and Ali is the gateway.’
None of the caliphs were equivalent in spiritual rank to Hazrat Ali; there was only one caliph of Tariqa and that was Ali. With Sharia, you have to make decisions based on what you see with your eyes. If one who has spiritual insight is appointed to that duty, he will not be able to do it justice – because he will not make decisions based on what he sees, but rather what he knows from his spiritual insight. Therefore, those are appointed to posts such as caliph who do not possess Esoteric Knowledge.
I request Tarek Fateh, who thinks Islam has a concept of a worldwide caliphate, to point it out in the Quran and Prophetic Traditions. There was no such caliph in the era of Prophet Mohammad and it would be surprising if there could be one afterwards. The early Companions of the Prophet did not take advice of the Prophet to appoint a caliph while Prophet Mohammad was still amongst them, so I cannot believe a true caliph could be appointed afterwards.
Also, as history reveals, there have been times when there were three caliphates within the Muslim World: Abbasid Empire (Baghdad), the Mughal Empire and the Ottoman Empire. If the concept of a caliphate is worldwide, how then did this happen?
All these fabricated beliefs are a result of sectarianism within Islam. They are not the original teachings of Islam. Islam in its original form is a true religion. God did not order killing and violence.
However one thing is certain: Islam has expired. Islam’s time is up and it no longer exists.
The mischief is coming from people today who still consider themselves Muslim. A Prophetic Tradition emphasises this as well:
Prophet Mohammad said, ‘A time will come on my community when nothing will be left in Islam for except its name and nothing will be left in the Quran for except its customary recitation. Mischief will rise from among them [Muslims] and shall perish within them.’
Today what you call Islam is not Islam, it is sectarianism. The original Islam created by Prophet Mohammad was a very blessed religion. Great Sufi scholars emerged from this Islam and they would turn aspirants into lovers of God; they didn’t turn them into Sunni, Shiite, Wahhabi, ISIS (Daesh) or the Taliban. Today, people recite the Kalima (motto of Islam) and convert to Islam, but they are terror-converts. Islam no longer exists, so how can they become Muslim?
Islam would have had a concept of a caliphate had Umar bin Khattab not blasphemed the Prophet Mohammad and allowed him to give advice on this matter. What can you expect from Muslims today when Muslims in that era, who kept the company of the Prophet, had to be told how to speak?
‘O believers, do not raise your voice above the voice of the Prophet nor speak loudly with him as you do amongst yourselves; otherwise you won’t even realise it and your deeds will be fruitless.’
Despite this, they began to argue in front of the Prophet and took out their swords. Prophet Mohammad became upset and told them all to leave.
A Prophetic Tradition states that the uncle of the Prophet, Ibn-e-Abbas, held his head in disbelief and smeared mud all over his face. He came out crying and said, ‘Umar, what have you done? O’ Umar, you have destroyed Islam, you have disgraced this nation.’
Prophet Mohammad could not reveal the knowledge that made Adam Safi Allah eminent: the knowledge God gave of his names (Ilm al Asma) to Adam Safi so that Adam would no longer be involved in bloodshed.
Whosoever was given this knowledge also could not reveal it, like Abu Hurrera. He said, ‘The Prophet Mohammad gave me two types of knowledge. I have revealed one type of knowledge but if I told you of the second type of knowledge, you would have me killed.’ Killing is in the nature of Arabs.
If you look at the character of Umar bin Khattab today, you would realise he was a great murderer.
1400 years ago, sandstorms would occur frequently in the desert. To prevent sand from getting in their hair, the Arabs used to wear turbans or a cloth over their heads. There was no concept of an airtight room; the Prophet and his Companions would sit outside. One companion stood up and raised his hand to touch the Prophet’s beard. Umar bin Khattab took out his sword and asked him what he was doing to which he replied, ‘I am removing sand from the beard of the Prophet.’ Umar bin Khattab beheaded him over this.
Some Muslims enter foreign land to take over and kill people. They say, ‘This is what the Companions did,’ but they are only following Umar bin Khattab.
Only Umar did such things. Hazrat Ali never sent caravans of people to take over land. This is the same Umar who took fire to the house of the Prophet’s daughter, Fatima. This is the same Umar who pushed Fatima tul Zahra and a nail went into her stomach, from which poison spread throughout her body. She died after six months from it. Umar did not respect the Prophet Mohammad or obey his orders, nor did he respect his children.
It’s appalling that even Sunni Muslims regard Umar highly, despite knowing all of these facts.
Umar even disrespected the Holy Black Stone, which the Prophet kissed with utmost respect. He said, ‘You are just a stone and you cannot benefit anyone, I don’t know why the Prophet has kissed you,’ which simply means he did not trust the Prophet.
Islam today is not Islam. People are killing in the name of Islam and they should be punished.
My question goes to our honourable ‘expert’ on Islam, Tarek Fatah: if, according to you, the concept of a worldwide caliphate is a legitimate concept from Islam, would you kindly tell my why Prophet Mohammad felt the need to advise his Companions when he was suffering from a high fever?
He thought he was living his final days and he wanted to avoid any mischief taking place among Muslims.
Umar bin Khattab – who is revered in the Arab world more than Prophet Mohammad is – did not allow the Prophet Mohammad to speak further. He said that that Quran was complete and it was enough for their guidance. This is the moment when any potential, future caliphate had gone down the drain.
The Quran said, ‘Take anything that Prophet Mohammad wants to give you.’ The Quran also said:
‘…follow the commandments of God and follow the advice of the Prophet…’
Some people say, ‘Prophet Mohammad will definitely say what God has said.’ No, that’s not correct. If what God has said is enough for you, then God would say, ‘Follow me. And following Prophet Mohammad is following me’. Why did he have to mention himself first and Prophet Mohammad as well?
There might have been a caliphate had Umar bin Khattab allowed Prophet Mohammad to speak on the subject, but he didn’t. Those who think the worldwide caliphate system comes from Islam have very little knowledge of Islam. This was about the past.
Now let’s talk about the present. Those who think Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is a legitimate caliph of Islam should first ask all the Muslim countries to accept him. Make Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Malaysia and all other countries of the Muslim World become a part of this so-called caliphate.
Secondly, there are more than 73 sects in Islam and each sect is so intolerant to each other that they cannot coexist in the same society. How on Earth are they going to be commanded by one man, especially one who comes from a Wahhabi background? If, still, there is a concept of caliphate, then let’s say that there must be at least 73 caliphs, and they are all Muslims. Now, decide which one of them is the worldwide caliph.
Judaism and Christianity were just as truthful as Islam. Islam has been adulterated, so everyone bashes Islam – but the same adulteration happened within Christianity long before Islam.
We only speak the truth and bear no grudge for any religion. The truth is Islam, Judaism, Hinduism and Christianity have all been subject to mischief.
There was an expiration date on every religion according to the Quran.
When the time came, the religion expired. This has been mentioned in Prophetic Traditions, which state that a time will come when the Quran shall be lifted. We can see that.
When adulterers and rapists are giving interpretations of the Quran, obviously there will only be bloodshed and mischief. Therefore, it is safe to say that Islam no longer exists.
According to the United Nations, only 40% of the population of Saudi Arabia belongs to the Wahhabi sect.
Bear in mind: this is when their oil revenues are being used to promote Wahhabism and because they lash people, forcing them to become Wahhabis. Otherwise, except for the Najdis and the Saudi Royal Family, no one would be Wahhabi on that land. Even today, there is a large population of Shiites in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Iran and Yemen. Therefore, if the caliph is a Wahhabi, then the Shiites and Sunnis would never accept him and vice versa. This concept of a worldwide caliph did not come from God or Prophet Mohammad. This is man-made.
As far as Imam Mehdi is concerned, Imam Mehdi has stated in His book, the ‘Religion of God (Deen-e-Ilahi)’ that Imam Mehdi will not rule the world, rather Imam Mehdi shall rule the hearts of humanity. Imam Mehdi will not work for Islam. He will establish a new religion which will be the Religion of God.
God’s religion does not comprise of austerities, observing fasts or keeping beards. The Religion of God is love. Even the Bible says, ‘God is love and love is God.’
All religions established by prophets and messengers had the essence of God’s love.
Historically speaking, Islam is full of bloodshed. Of the four Khulfa-e-Rashideen of Islam, only one died a natural death and the other three were murdered. The Muslims are murderers of their own leaders.
These so-called caliphs of Islam cannot be compared to the saints. There is not one saint in Islam who even spoke ill of the Ahle Bayt (Household of the Prophet); they always kept them in high regards. There are saints who are greater in spiritual rank than even Hazrat Ali and Imam Hussain, but even they gave the utmost respect to the Ahle Bayt. Tasawwuf (spirituality) has taught respect, self-denial and negation of the Self (ego).
Imam Mehdi has come to grant love to all humanity, fill the world with justice and put an end to all this bloodshed. Imam Mehdi has come to unite all so that there is no Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Jew or Sikh. All are the creation of God. He has come to fill the hearts with divine love. When every heart is full of divine love, there will be no hatred.
Even God has said in the Quran,
‘Had I not awaited the Kalima-e-Sabqat (the foremost declaration of faith), humanity would not have been divided into so many religions, sects and tribes.’
Now that the Kalima-e-Sabqat has arrived, the time has come to erase all differences. The time has come to end all divisions in the name of tribes and religion. Soon, there shall be uniformity among all. With spiritual love, Imam Mehdi is supposed to unite all humanity, regardless of religion or appearance. The hateful souls shall join the Antichrist while the loving souls will join Imam Mehdi.
His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi said, ‘A Muslim thinks he is the best, a Jew thinks he is the best and a Christian thinks he is the best. However, I say that the best among all is one who loves God the most, in spite of his indifference to any religion.’
Imam Mehdi has broken the shackles of the religions. Religions have lost their value and importance; now, only love is important. God doesn’t want religions to flourish, that is why all the religions are destroyed. God wants to promote love and he does not support any religion now. We do not need religions now.
